MIXING & STYLING CHINA PATTERNS FOR YOUR WEDDING REGISTRY

When we registered for our wedding – we were so excited to find the perfect china pattern.  We knew we wanted two things.

1 st – A china pattern that reflected both of us.

2nd – Something that would be timeless as a potential heirloom.

The moment I decided to view picking out china like styling a gorgeous outfit, is when everything clicked!  #1 Rule of styling – never be too matchy matchy.  So why should you be with your china?

The moment I had this epiphany, was when we discovered a newly launched pattern by designer MARCHESA for LENOX called “EMPIRE PEARL“. We already had our eye on WEDGEWOOD’S VERA WANG LACE” pattern, and knew the two would pair exquisitely.  We selected the pieces from each collection that had a little bit of her + a little bit of him to make up a gorgeous seamless collection pictured above.

Bed Bath & Beyond was more then accommodating when we let them know that we wanted to integrate the two collections by 1. Simply, placing a call to Lenox & Wedgewood to ask if the pieces could be purchased separately   2. Taking note of the exact pieces we would like to register/purchase from each collection.

The process was actually so effortless, that our amazing Bridal Consultant, Susan, let us know that I’ve inspired her to offer mixing & matching china patterns as a lovely option to all her new brides!

I’d love to know  – have you ever mixed & matched china/dinnerware patterns?  Share your pictures with me on instagram!   Be sure to use two hashtags: #mixedchinapattern #integrations and tag @deannarussoclark
